HOT TUB Time Machine

IT's done!

This stretch of 10 shifts in 11 days.

I did it!

Towards the end of my shift,

some perky sweet thing

asked What I'm up to and where I'm heading out on the weekend?

Up to?!

Where I'm heading?

Go out, Like to a bar?!?

I'm flattered that I look as if I possess the interest in that idea,

or even the slightest amount of energy to entertain it.

But what am I up to?

Ugh, I hope not much.

Some relaxation.

Some down time.

Some reconnection.

Some writing.

Tonight consists of

a hot bath

with essential oils ~ Clary sage, frankincense, lavender.

Himalayan Rock Salt & Baking Soda.

A playlist of Ocean Waves.

A good book.

The window wide open

so the cool air can blow through.

Oh, and a good glass of red wine.

I miss our Hot Tub. The cold air through the window helps to create the vibe.

The jets were sometimes irritating anyway.

Well, at least that's what I tell myself.

But Fall Hot Tub soaks were the best.

I was super diligent with the chemicals and the hygiene of the water.

Because ew, hot tubs can be gross.

I loved that "chore", the science behind the perfect pH.

Our family of four all appreciated the hot tub ~

a large six seater with built in lounge chairs.

My husband & our daughter could only handle it in limited doses.

Leos.

But my son & I,

we could sit in there for hours.

Two peas in a pod.

Both water signs.

We'd always have the best hot tub chats.

I wish I had a time machine.
