Rainy Day

It's quite amazing the way that weather

impacts the things we do

the choices that we make

the way we ebb and flow.

Our mood

our emotions

Rain poured down for a large part

of the day.

Which encouraged,

for me,

cozy book reading

and some writing.

Also

a lot of reflection

while watching the rain fall.

Comforting Music

played throughout the house

A pot of homemade soup simmered on the stove -

despite the warmth outside

the dismal dreary colour of the sky

called for comfort...

And I soaked it up in all ways that I could.
