A lot of us do this in Canada ~
We celebrate the holiday,
the day before the actual holiday.
Which I am okay with.
All the work and gathering on this one day
to be followed by a day of rest tomorrow
on the actual holiday.
Today is a day of cooking
And gathering
And indulging
And laughter
And tears for missing those who are not here.
